Chester Zoo New Meerkat Babies

We were at the zoo again for a couple of hours on Sunday, mainly to see the recently arrived elephant baby.

We didn't know there had been meerkat births again though. Took a couple of piccies which are attached. Was surprised to see just how young they were, so I suspect they're a fairly recent addition to the collection.

We spotted two of them being carried by different adults but it was hard to know whether these were parents or carers. Their eyes weren't open but it was very bright, so not sure whether they hadn't yet opened or it was just too sunny.

I am going tomorrow, didnt know about baby meerkats so thankyou for the post. It will be my first stop followed by red pandas to see if their baby is out and about yet:D
