New member. I have questions

Hello I'm new. I run a group of kids that are working on a project for a stem type fair. They are doing research based boards. One is doing exotic pet trade. I'm looking for suggestions on what they could for touchables/ engagement pieces to draw the kids in. Bringing live exotic pets ( chinchilla, bearded dragons etc) are not allowed.

One idea that comes to mind is that the US Fish and Wildlife Service sometimes gives zoo education departments and other institutions confiscated wildlife trade products like ivory, things made out of turtle shells, etc. as education exhibits to show people the damage the wildlife trade can do. If you have a local zoo education department or nature center, maybe they could connect you with some artifacts to exhibit.
