New Member Seeking Advice

Hello All, I am new to ZooChat. I am a volunteer intern at The Louisville Zoo in Kentucky and I am working on my application to a Graduate Biology Program. While I am working on the application process, I am also seeking any advice on good zoo research projects. I want my Masters Thesis to draw off my zoo experiences in some way, shape, or form. I'm working on narrowing down my ideas and am thinking of something along the lines of captive animal behavior, or enrichment for captive animals. At the Louisville Zoo, we participate in breeding Maned Wolves, and I also thought this might be an interesting topic for a thesis.
I would really appreciate any ideas I can gather. Any Zoo employees have experience working with Grad Students doing research at your zoos? Any former Grad Students have tips for designing a Zoo oriented Thesis project?
I'm not looking for anyone to spell my Thesis out for me, just some ideas to help me narrow my focus.
Thank you!:)

I believe the Phoenix Zoo has recently started advertising they offer a masters program based at their zoo. (Maybe it is a bachelors, but I am pretty sure it was masters). You may try contacting them for ideas or to see how their program is run. (Even if you already have a school lined up in your area, they still might provide helpful guidance). Ultimately, though, it should surround an animal (or idea, such as enrichment) that you are seriously interested in. This project will engulf your life for the next two or three years, so it better surround something you truly enjoy.
