Dartmoor Zoo New Monkey enclosure

Dartmoor Zoological Park is building a new enclosure for their troup of vervet monkeys, they say it is going to be opposite the wolves but it could be the tiger enclosure next to them or the tortoise enclosure in front of the wolves. They have only just built the tortoise enclosure and Tazmin is as far as I know still alive, will they build it on the tortoise enclosure.

I heard it was going to be where the saker falcon used to be stretching from opposite the foxes right up to opposite the wolves just before it gets to the tortoise area, running parallel to the open picnic area. That area will be amazing for the monkeys. So much space and all the trees will be fantastic. Cant wait to see it. Gets my thumbs up.

Thanks for the information, I didn't really know where it would be and the only enclosures that I knew, that are opposite the wolves were the tortoises and the Amur tiger.

On this map, the new enclosure will be where the clump of trees are, south of the tortoises :)

I think they are going to use zoomesh, but not 100%

Announced on thier facebook page that the monkeys will be released into the new enclosure at 11:30am on Saturday.

Congrats to everyone at the zoo on the enclosure's opening. I must say the monkeys love their new space. Looking back, their old enclosure really was heartbreaking, but this is a sign of what's to come if the zoo continues receiving support.
