New Series of Roar

I mentioned this on a thread about Adelaide Zoo's possible name change but it is more relevant here.

I started watching Roar recently. It's filmed at Howletts and Port Lympne and although it's a children's programme I find very interesting.

These establishments call themselves wildlife parks which is fine.

But there seems to be a complete ban on the use of the word 'zoo' in the programme and this drives me mad.

They talk about animals taking part in breeding programmes going to other 'parks' and even called Colchester Zoo 'a park in Colchester'.

I wonder if this is part of the Howletts-Port Lympne delusion that they aren't like other zoos and was a condition they insisted on... It seems ridiculous that they wouldn't even call Colchester Zoo a zoo.

I can't say i've Noticed but i do like the programme very much, i've been watching it since the first series. My children think i'm sad because i SKY+ it. In fact i'd say this programme more than anything else turned me into a zoo fanatic, and lead to my hobby of visiting zoos. I had heard that this series was to be filmed at Longleat, but haven't heard anything more. i guess i'll find out tomorrow.
