Hi everyone !
I'm a Geography student currently living in Montpellier, France. I'm originally from Nantes and have visited many zoos in western France, thanks to my parents who loved taking us there when we were kids. I was passionate about zoos as a child, but for a long time I redirected that interest toward theme parks. However, a few months ago, after discovering this forum and reading some of the excellent threads posted by members, my love for zoos came back stronger than ever.
My favorite zoo is the Bioparc de Doué-la-Fontaine, and my home zoo would be La Boissière du Doré (or Montpellier). My favorite zoo species are gibbons, but my favorite exhibit type are large mixed-species aviaries.
At first, I only planned to browse topics that interested me, but I’ve been tempted to join a few discussions, so I imagine you’ll see me around from time to time !
I also wanted to mention that, as part of my master’s in Geography, I’ve developed skills in cartography and map design. If any members ever need help creating maps, whether to enrich a thread, a spec-zoo, or for anything else, I’d be happy to help when I have some free time. Just let me know !
