I’m honestly surprised that Discovery Cove in Orlando, Florida has gone without a proper news thread for as long as it has. With the creation of this thread (which could probably cover beyond just 2025), that issue is now resolved.
Beginning with some semi-recent news. On September 15th, the park announced the arrival of (0.1*) Cherry and (1.0*) Remy, a pair of Cotton-Top Tamarins from unspecified facilities. Following their debut, Discovery Cove is now home to two species of new world monkey, with the other being the Geoffroy’s Marmosets that have been there since 2012.
*suspected genders, are not 100% guaranteed
Through some comments on their socials, the park confirmed that both species are still present; which sounds like they will be mixed at some point.
