Zoo Płock News from Płock

95-year old Marta the American Alligator is the oldest zoo animal in Europe.

She was born in 1930 in the now-closed Reptile Jungle in Slidell, Louisiana. In the 1970 she starred in a comedy Hydrozagadka. She had a birthday party on Saturday, complete with workshops, children's activities, crocodile-themed contests, and a large cake shaped like a crocodile.

The renovated enclosure looks good. Hopefully more will follow, as the building has plenty of potential.

A female snow leopard is coming to Płock!
Basira was born in Wuppertal and she will join a male - Dexter (born in Opole zoo).
When I visited Wuppertal in September last year, I was told that a young female will leave Wuppertal and move to Poland. And yesterday I finally saw this information in a short film about this transfer. Fingers crossed for Płock's new pair snow leopards' success :)

Hello, do you know what happened to the female snow leopard Okara who arrived in 2015 from Zurich?
