Mablethorpe Seal Sanctuary and Wildlife Centre News

Good news - seeing what is probably the best non-seal enclosure stuck with some random farm animals in it was distinctly underwhelming!

New species/attraction at Mablethorpe for 2014 will be White Handed Gibbons. They are expected to arrive by the end of March

Sorry, I know this isn't news, but didn't think it was worthy of a new thread.
I will be in Lincolnshire this weekend with the family and of course I feel the need to visit at least 1 animal attraction whilst there. If i was alone, i'd take the 2 hour drive to YwP , but the kids wont like that!
Was wondering whether anyone could give me some advice as to which might be the best value(looking to spend 2-3 hours there hopefully).
Choices appear to be:
Mablethorpe- family £18
Natureland Skegness - £24
The Jungle - £16
Woodside -£29
I've looked on their websites & can't find out much on the species at the last 2.
Any advice appreciated.
Thanks

There is also the Parrot Zoo near Skegness if you like birds . They have over 2,000 parrots as well as other birds and a few mammals , reptiles and amphibians . Looks quite impressive from their web-site . Entry £7.95 . I cannot recall any reports about it on Zoochat .

The Jungle is very small, Woodside is much bigger and probably a great deal more there to entertain the kids - Woodside is a farm-zoo type of attraction, new arrivals a pair of "rescued" tigers recently.

Zootierlist is pretty accurate for The Jungle,as it was updated after a few of visited a 18 months ago!

As for which is best depends on what you are after if you want somewhere with the odd little gem then The Jungle would be good if you are after somewhere they you could spend a good 3 maybe 4 hours with the family then Mablethorpe,if you want ripping off then Skegness is not much more than 1 or 2 hours if you push it!

Not done Woodside so cannot comment, but have visited the Parrot Zoo and will say its more than worth a visit if you can stand the noise from all the Parrots!

Thanks everyone for your advice.
My main choice was between Mablethorpe & Skegness and it looks like my original thoughts were probably right .
Having now found that Woodside is listed on ZTL as Newball, they don't appear to have many species there to justify the extra drive, though Altai Lynx & Arctic Wolf(are they pure?) are an attraction. Likewise, the Jungle probably doesn't have enough for the extra effort.
If I get a few hours to myself I may go to the Parrot Zoo, which wont appeal to the others.

The Arctic Wolves are as pure as SLWAP Husky's I believe!!
