Hello all, I am new to Zoo Chat. I am a zookeeper and wildlife rehabilitator, working primarily with birds. I have some experience with bats and terrestrial mammals as well. I am educated in avian husbandry and medical knowledge, but do not know much zoo history.

My topics of interest include animal welfare, conservation genetics, and species reintroduction and head starting. My favorite birds are the Laysan Albatross, the Bald Eagle, the Bearded Vulture, and the Eurasian Blackbird.

I am excited to learn from you all.

Hello and Welcome to ZooChat! I’m looking to work with aquatic birds (mainly penguins) so it is great/interesting to have another keeper here!
