Nocturnal Houses in the Netherlands

Im looking for informations about Nocturnal Houses in dutch Zoos.

Altough they have been very popular in the Netherlands, most of the nocturnal houses were closed.

So I would like to know when the nocturnal houses at Artis, the first one opened in 1963,( closed around 1988 / 89 ? )Emmen and Arnhem were closed, and why ? Rotterdam was closed in 2003 and rebuild into an animal Hospital.

And I was wondering "Jungle by Night"at Artis, opened in 1995, was closed also two years ago. Whats the reason ?

Also I would like to know in which year Arnhem has opened the Nocturnal House.

In your list of nocturnal houses you´ve forgotten one, the Nightbird-house at Avifauna - Alphen a/d Rijn. It´s very small but with some intresting birds in it. In the walk-through section there are Australian Thick-knees ( seen ), tropical screechowls and Australian frogmouths ( both not seen ). In a seperated glass-fronted enclosure a Northern striped kiwi is kept and was during my visit yesterday very active !
