Just to specify, Sedgwick has officially announced two more pregnancies!! Xolani is 5 months pregnant and Arusi is 4 months pregnant.

It shouldn’t be long before their last cow, Zuberi, falls pregnant as well. Like everyone mentioned earlier, Callee has done a fantastic job but I definitely think he could take a break from breeding for a bit at this point considering how over represented he has become with all his offspring and the numerous relatives he has through his father Jackson.

I agree with you re. Callee. This was a very important move, ensuring all of the females were able to conceive before it got too late and Callee being the reliable and efficient breeding bull he is was the perfect choice to kickstart their breeding program. Siring a calf with Zuberi should be his last calf in the meantime, and from there Sedgwick could continue with a different, more valuable bull.

The zoo does also have 1.0 Titan that could be a viable breeder in the future when all four cows are ready to breed again.

Its wonderful knowing we have so many founders actively having calves young, the future looks bright indeed!
Definitely agree re Callee though. He's done a great job ensuring that these valuable wildborn females are proven which is the priority, but he has five confirmed calves already and very likely four more, and he's not even 25 yet! I'd like to hope for at least one Ajani or Titian calf from this bunch, but given how the pregnancies seem to start after Callee's arrival I think its all but announced they're his.

He isn’t naturally proven yet; but considering he’s still on the younger side I’m hopeful he should be able to get things in order by the time the females are ready to conceive again.
