I really hope you’re right. It makes me sick their isn’t a vaccine for them still and how many have continued to die from this virus.

I think the positive here is the progress we have made. Considering as recently as the early 90’s, this was an unknown virus; as recently as the early 2000’s, this virus was all but a death sentence; to now, where several elephants have been successfully treated - with the possibility their exposure to the virus could offer some immunity to future exposure.

thats true. Kairavi at the Oklahoma City Zoo didn’t succumb to EEHV when she caught it last summer. I’m really hoping Jasmine can beat it and that Rosanna is pregnant. It doesn’t seem to be doing well the Asian Elephant Population meaning. I guess it’s improved but it’s still a huge mess and I’ve been delusional thinking it’s been getting better.
