Found a few days ago some photos from a pair Northern pudus at Berlin Zoo which were kept there during 1972 - in that year both were obtained and both died. Already in 1968 2 females were send to this zoo but both died within a very short time. Another was recieved 1970 ( sex unknown to me ) which also lived for long.
Does anyone know of other collections which keep or kept this very intresting species - most likely are zoos in Colomdia, Equador or Peru.
With the Southern pudu doing quite well in captivity its in my opion maybe possible to give the Northern pudu also a try ??!!
