The Oasys Parque in Tabernas has started changing from a general public theme park more into a conservation oriented facility. Due to its proximity to Almeria it has adopted all male or reproductive groups of dorcas gazelle, Mhorr dama gazelle and Cuvier's gazelle.
There is talk in the AIZA Annual Reports of a Masterplan and a first thematic area in Namibia. Slowly, it has started introducing wild animal species from the corresponding region.
Quite recently the introduced some white rhino? Has anyone any idea from where these came? They also are accomodating giraffe males and the plans are to breed Rothschildt's eventually.
