This is a humble petting zoo for kids 30 minutes away from Prague. Established in 2020 on 3,5 ha by an animal-loving married couple. It lies within an old orchard on a hill - a few self-built simple yards and wooden cages. It has no paths - just lawn everywhere and you walk around wherewer you want. Not suitable for people with limited mobility or prams. Entrance fee is payable at a food stand, if it´s closed you put your money into a box at meerkats. The zoo is closed during winter months and with odd opening hours through rest of the year.
Backbone of the collection is farm animals that kids can freely pet and feed. It keeps usual exotics - meerkats, porcupines, raccons, prairies dogs etc. But the reason I even mention this place on ZC is their more unusual species like a pair of corsac foxes, sandhill cranes, white-necked ravens, crested mynas, pearl-spotted owlet (Glaucidium perlatum), spotted owlet (Athene brama) or tropical screech owl (Megascops choliba). Their collection is fluid and you never know what you will see next year (or not see). Signage is not great - and sometimes missing entirely.
