I want to visit the Oceanopolis Brest in April and want to know, if this is a good aquarium and if it is worth to do a 10 hours train trip to visit it..I have a guidebook of them, but it is 8 years old, so can anybody here tell me more about Oceanopolis? I know they have two antarctic pinniped species, are they still in they still in their collection ? I'm not sure if they are keeping seaotters....

It has a good collection of earless seals too like : harp seal (Phoca groenlandica) ; harbor seal (Phoca vitulina) ; baltic seal (Pusa hispida botnica) ; and arctic ringed seal (Pusa hispida hispida).

All I can say in response to the species list in the prior post is wow! But would you know how many of each they have and if they have bred them?

They have 0,1 baltic ringed seal(since 2007, came from Burgers Zoo, 1,0 Arctic ringed seal went to Arnhem to accompanie the two female baltic ringed seals there.) and 2,0 arctic ringed seals, I don't think they ever bred.

Wow, impressive collection of rare seal species, but the numbers are not good. I hope, they can impot some females of the artic ringed seals. Now I look foward to my visit.
