He seems an obvious candidate for Colchester, with a big modern exhibit and five(?) females- surely this is an obvious good home for him?

It would allow Edinburgh the chance to do something about their old antiquated pool too.
 
Possibly. I personally hope they keep the pool and just do minor conversions to make it better suited to a freshwater species - maybe a more unusual otter such as a species of Lutrogale.
 
One female died in the early months of this year, and the other in September or thereabouts, so far as I recall. Both were a fair age, mind you - the male, however, is still pretty young.

Ah ok, I must have seen the second female then. Their enclosure is pretty simple in comparison to most sea lion complexes of younger age!
