A revolution in land management integrating kangaroos with livestock is unfolding in the outback. The kangaroo industry is worth $230 million annually employing around four thousand people nationwide. While pastoralists consider our national emblem a pest that devours a third of good grazing feed, conservationists have long argued that kangaroos should replace sheep and cattle altogether on rangelands. Now a bold experiment called "Fate" has got landholders reconsidering the role of our most famous fauna.
