I am creating this post to hear your knowledge about the origin of the animal species that we see in zoos today (such as the origin of the first specimens, for example)

What do you suggest then?
Ask for 2 or 3 species. Plus for quite a number of species there will be multiple origins. So what do you want to know? First animal in captivity? Origin of the current captive population? And for species that have been in zoos for a long term the answers might be unknown? By example origin of lions of captivity will depend on your definition of captivity and zoo. There will be many possible answers that will all be factually correct but totally different.
