In the JAZA parks, it’s claimed that all zoos with red pandas have Ailurus styani except for Atagawa Tropical and Alligator Garden, which claims to be the only holder of Ailurus fulgens in Japan. However, some of the Styan’s I’ve seen have whiter faces; could they be hybrids or completely mislabeled? Therefore, I’d like to find out the import and exchange records of red pandas into Japan, if anyone has found any news or documents.
