On April 25th, the zoo announced that (0.0.2) black-and-white ruffed lemurs named Big Mac and Small Fry were born.*

On May 21st, it was reported that a thunderstorm with low-grade tornado windspeeds hit the zoo, causing several trees and fences to be knocked down, though fortunately, no animals passed away. The zoo opened its doors 2 days later.

On June 14th, it was reported that a pirate ship structure was built in the domestic goat yard. The structure was built by high school students.

On July 5th, the zoo announced that a (1.0) plains zebra was born. On July 14th, the zebra was named Kenya.

On August 30th, the zoo announced that their (1.0) domestic chicken named Heyhey was stolen on August 29th. It was returned to the facility on September 4th.

*The zoo announced on their blog that (0.0.2) Bactrian camels, as well as an unspecified amount of domestic goats, domestic sheep, and a (0.0.1) domestic cow were born. They also claim they have baby mountain goats, though I'm not sure about that one.
