I've got a pair of paddle-tail newts (incorrectly labelled as 'fire belly newts' in the shop). They both look like p.labiatus, but the size difference between them is massive. The big one appears to be male and the smaller one appears to be female (judging by the shape of the cloaca), but I can't find any site that says anything about a size difference between them.
