Because of some random add on my FB many months ago, about this park, we then found out about "One Zoo Three", watched all the episodes, and then found out about the baby Red Panda, this park was definately on the to-go list. Allthough, with it being fall/winter, and us only having a motorbike, it didn't look like we would be seeing the baby Red Panda before he would be all grown up.
But last weekend we decided to go anyway, nice sunny day, and they even have separate motorcycle parking spaces.
We got our tickets online, and upon showing them at the ticket booth, we were handed a flyer/map, which was nice. As most places don't hand out maps anymore.
It doesn't seem to look that big, but we did spend the entire day (from 9.30 until 16.30).
We did the main (biggest) bit first. We then also ran into "grandad", hehe.
The White Lions are stunning! And we were lucky throughout the day, they were either lying against the glass, or lying on the big rock.
The first time I've actually managed to see them so well. Only one other place we have seen them, was at a safari park, and they were very far away.
We saw all the animals, so we definately picked the right day to go.
I had to go back a couple of times to spot the Black Lemurs, but eventually at almost the end of the day, they poked their heads out.
There are many viewing area's with all animals, so you are able to spot them from anywhere.
I really liked how you can walk up steps and have a good look from above with most of the enclosures.
Very curious as to if there will be baby Snow Leopards at some point, not sure if something is holding it back at the moment, but there certainly wasn't a lack of trying that day, lol.
I also don't think I've seen a zoo this busy in the past 2 years.
And then, the main event, the "baby" Red Panda, who's now almost the same size as his mom.
Absolutely adorable, and both outside walking around all day.
I don't think we seen the little one without food in it's mouth for 5 seconds thoughout the entire day. He sure loves his food.
One of the Tiger sisters came out of hiding briefly just before the talk started, but she quickly went inside again.
When we headed over "accross the road", for the Red Foxes, Wolves and Red Deers.
We didn't really care much for the dinosaur bits, but it looked really good though.
We couldn't spot the wolves very well, a pathway was closed off, and we saw them in the back, so we tried walking back and around where we then could see them better.
I'm afraid to say how many pictures I have of the Red Panda's, but I had 1 801 pictures in total, which is a new record for me, taken in 1 day, haha!
And most of their plushies have the logo sewed onto them, which we liked, as most places just have the exact same plush, and not even a specialized tag from the specific park you got it from.
We loved it, and will be going back once their bear/jaguar enclosures are finished.
