Any idea when the bears ate due. Thamks

Kyra is still at Chester, I saw her yesterday. But she has been fully crate trained and Chester are just waiting on her exhibit at Paradise to be ready for her. She was meant to move a while back, but there have been delays Paradises end. As soon as Paradise are ready for her, she will be going.
She is currently on the left side of the SOTJ exhibit, with access to 2 dens inside, and the outside grass area.

Because of some random add on my FB many months ago, about this park, we then found out about "One Zoo Three", watched all the episodes, and then found out about the baby Red Panda, this park was definately on the to-go list. Allthough, with it being fall/winter, and us only having a motorbike, it didn't look like we would be seeing the baby Red Panda before he would be all grown up.
But last weekend we decided to go anyway, nice sunny day, and they even have separate motorcycle parking spaces.

We got our tickets online, and upon showing them at the ticket booth, we were handed a flyer/map, which was nice. As most places don't hand out maps anymore.

It doesn't seem to look that big, but we did spend the entire day (from 9.30 until 16.30).
We did the main (biggest) bit first. We then also ran into "grandad", hehe.

The White Lions are stunning! And we were lucky throughout the day, they were either lying against the glass, or lying on the big rock.
The first time I've actually managed to see them so well. Only one other place we have seen them, was at a safari park, and they were very far away.

We saw all the animals, so we definately picked the right day to go.
I had to go back a couple of times to spot the Black Lemurs, but eventually at almost the end of the day, they poked their heads out.

There are many viewing area's with all animals, so you are able to spot them from anywhere.
I really liked how you can walk up steps and have a good look from above with most of the enclosures.

Very curious as to if there will be baby Snow Leopards at some point, not sure if something is holding it back at the moment, but there certainly wasn't a lack of trying that day, lol.

I also don't think I've seen a zoo this busy in the past 2 years.

And then, the main event, the "baby" Red Panda, who's now almost the same size as his mom.
Absolutely adorable, and both outside walking around all day.
I don't think we seen the little one without food in it's mouth for 5 seconds thoughout the entire day. He sure loves his food.

One of the Tiger sisters came out of hiding briefly just before the talk started, but she quickly went inside again.

When we headed over "accross the road", for the Red Foxes, Wolves and Red Deers.
We didn't really care much for the dinosaur bits, but it looked really good though.
We couldn't spot the wolves very well, a pathway was closed off, and we saw them in the back, so we tried walking back and around where we then could see them better.

I'm afraid to say how many pictures I have of the Red Panda's, but I had 1 801 pictures in total, which is a new record for me, taken in 1 day, haha!
And most of their plushies have the logo sewed onto them, which we liked, as most places just have the exact same plush, and not even a specialized tag from the specific park you got it from.

We loved it, and will be going back once their bear/jaguar enclosures are finished.

Glad you had a good day there. I must admit, I've had a polar opposite experience there. I found £24 to visit a pretty empty zoo, rammed with people, and loads of building work going on, very off-putting. I also found some of the exhibits rather small, and not great viewing, especially given how busy it was.

But pleased someone has had an enjoyable day there, go in August on a busy day when you have to park across the road, queue for 30 minutes to get in, and then see very few animals, but it being packed with kids and your day may not have been quite as enjoyable haha.

I'm not very easily pleased, lol, so if it really weren't great, I would have certainly said so.

Payed about the same as we did last month for London zoo, and I wasn't impressed with London zoo at all to be honest.

We try to avoid school holidays mostly, especially for places we haven't been yet, to get the most out of the day without all the busyness.

I've heard this zoo mentioned a lot in the Chester Zoo threads in regards to the in-development bear and jaguar enclosures, so I looked into it and Paradise seems like a cute little place with a nice selection of species. The white lions and green anaconda in particular caught my eye, and I love jaguars and wish more zoos in the UK had them. While I doubt I can visit this year, I've definitely put Paradise on my short list of zoo visits for 2024.

Earlier today on Instagram, paradise posted a picture of a Cat roar, saying 18/02/23 something's coming.

Doesn't confirm, but it gives the impression the Jaguar's will be back from tomorrow.

Ah mate!
I was just about to say similar today when I saw this post.
Hopefully Jaguar Jungle is coming this Easter.

Also possibly hinting on more news, possibly opening dates, on the new complexes of Jaguar Jungle and Sun Bear Heights, as these topics kind of go together.

So I suspect that kyra has most likely moved down from chester however she was still in chester as of Friday
If Sun bear Heights is opening on the 1st of April (like Jaguar Jungle) or later (not sure why else would they have chosen to announce it over a week later than the Jaguars), it is possible that Kyra may not be moving yet, as they might even still be putting finishing touches to the complex. Can't be long now though surely...

Both these projects look very promising, the jaguar renovation was certainly overdue. I’m very happy for the zoo as well as for Peter, Lynn and the family-they’ve consistently punched above their weight for a number of years now, so it’s nice to see these exhibits finally come to fruition. Again proof, if there was needed, of what can be achieved within a limited physical footprint
