Adonis the python might not be everyone's idea of a cuddly pet but the mother of one autistic child says that playing with a python helps calm her son and helps him focus. Karina Piper would like her son Griffin to be allowed to keep a pet ptyhon. For almsot 20 years Tasmania's Herpetological Society has been fighting ot have restrictions lifed on importing pythons as pets. Pythons are not poisonous and Tasmania is the only state where it's illegal to keep them as pets.
