Chester Zoo Pete Waterman at Chester Zoo

Forgive me for being flippant, but when I saw this thread title, I thought Chester had acquired a new exhibit ........
 
hmmm Chester zoo obviously have no ulterior motive for inviting the multimillionaire Pete waterman pete waterman to ride their monorail!!!!!
 
They have invited Pete to re-open the monorail as he`s a Railway Enthusiast and he used to be one of the largest private breeders of Koi Carp.
 
I'm sure I saw somewhere in the distant past that he also kept owls. Anyone know more about this?

I`m not going to say he didn`t but he`s never mentioned it to me when i`ve been talking to him in all the years that i`ve know him.

I was being a tad sarcastic, whilst Mr Watermans Koi collection is well known in the zoo community and beyond, I was leaning to the fact he's a multimillionaire that a zoo with a multimillion pound extension project in the midst might cosy up too!! :)

Even Pete`s not that rich but the zoo does need more money to complete Natural Vision it if it goes ahead,but its probably not as much as people on here think that they need find.But you never know they may have an idea that they want to put to him!!

I was chatting to Sir Paul McCartney only the other week at Blur's post-gig Glastonbury party and he mentioned that he thought Rick Astley posted on some zoo website or other under the name zoocamel or zoookapi or something, now I know what he was talking about.

Think you`ve made a bit of a mad leap with that one i`m about as un-musical a person as you could find,just to say i didn`t meet Pete in any connection to the music industry i know him through one of his other intrests.
 
Sorry I was just having a bit of a joke about the name dropping that's all :)Anyway it's funny that Pete Waterman leapt at the chance to go on the monorail, doesn't he know it's been open for years? Well they do say any publicity is good publicity.
