Hi all,

I am preparing a trip to Indonesia, at the end of november and beginning of december but I do not have a lot of time there.
I was thinkingof visiting :
- ragunan zoo (1day)
- TMMII Jakarta (1day)
- Faunaland Ancol (1/2 day and back to the airport to go to east Java)
- Surabay zoo (1 day)
- Prigen zoo (2 days)
- Batu secret zoo (1day + back to Surabaya aiport).

What do you think about this program ?

Thank you a lot for your answer.

Hello, Johan! You can try contact me via Conversations so I can provide better details and informations if you like.

Though this seems like a good plan by spending each day on each facility, though getting to know the local transportations or already using a private driver service is recommended. If I may ask, why do you intend on spending 1/2 day on Faunaland Ancol? as it's actually not a really big facility.

Rather than spending too long at Faunaland, you can use your time in Ancol to visit SeaWorld Ancol, Ocean Dream Samudera and Jakarta Bird Park as well

For the time being, don't go to Bandung. None of the large zoos are open (LPZ and Bazoga) since the former is dealing with a loose Javan leopard and the latter is closed due to ownership conflict. There are smaller zoos/zoological facilities like The Nice Park, Zoomanji and Moa Exotic, but they're not too important to visit.

We've been talking on other social media, safe to say the OP is not going to Bandung.

:) Hello, Do you know, if Sunda clouded leopard is still in Faunaland Ancol ?

I unfortunately not aware. The single individual wasn't present during my last visit on July, nor that it was present on the off-display box next to the exhibit.

Batu Secret Zoo near Malang (East Java) is currently holding the Sumatran subspecies of the Sunda clouded leopard, though very challenging to see.

:( Oh, that’s a pity. Maybe this clouded leopard is no longer on display.
