There have been several instances recently where I have received complaints from zoos or professional organisations about information which was "private" or "privileged" being posted here on ZooChat.
I would like to remind people that many of these organisations do check on ZooChat to see what people are posting and word does get back if people abuse their access to information that is not supposed to be distributed.
Trying to make yourself seem important by sharing private information that other people don't have access to not only damages your own standing with the zoo or organisation in question, it also brings this site into disrepute and makes it far more difficult for us to engage directly with those organisations in the future.
So, if you have access to private information, please make sure you have permission to share it before you post here.
