Privately Owned Chimpanzees

Do people not realise how dangerous they are?
This audio is a 911 call, shows exactly what they're capable of. It's pretty disturbing.

Thanks Ashley, that would have to be. One of the most disturbing things l have ever heard.

The fear in that womans voice.
I hope something good comes from this.

Wow! I'm shocked one is still allowed to keep chimpanzees as pets in (parts of) U.S.

On the other hands - if people are allowed to keep tigers and cougars in city apartments?

When I heard that this woman had an adult male chimp living in her house I was astounded.
That woman was amazingly irresponsible and her friend is permanently severely crippled and disfigured. Apparently there is brain damage as well. The victim's family is suing the chimp's owner (the chimp was shot by the police) for everything she's got.

What is shocking is that only 21 U.S. States ban the private owning of chimpanzees, which means that in 29 States it is possible to go out and purchase a pet chimp.
Disgraceful!;)
