I went for 3 weeks in Madagascar to observe and photograph the amazing wildlife that inhabit the island. I have written a report that is available on mammalwatching:

Northern Madagascar: the Propitrek – Mammal Watching

If you have any question, do not hesitate.
I am also quite happy to say that I managed to raise 1500€ by selling a calendar I made with my own lemurs pictures. It will sent to AEECL and Helpsimus.

A very interesting report indeed :) once you've finished uploading photos to the gallery I will need to make rather a lot of updates to the Zoochat Photographic Guide to Prosimians, along with a few other groups!

Thanks for posting your impressive trip report. It was a joy to read!

Fantastic report with the usual fantastic photos. It is great to have such reports too instead of the endless we hired a guide who showed us everything for too much money. This is more like real traveling ;)

It is now 10 years since I was in Madagascar, but a lot of what you describe is very recognizable from guides without knowledge to logistic hurdles and endless amounts of rice. But a fantastic country it is!

Apart from Ankarafantsika you visited parts I didn't visit and the northern circuit is high on my wish list, so good to see it is very doable :)

I haven't read the report yet, but totally agree. I gave up even looking at Mammalwatching a long time ago unless I wanted to look up something specific, because most of the reports are basically just tour adverts.

What?! I hate the passage of time.

If you have enjoyed the report, please do not hesitate to participate to the yearly vote for best trio reports.

I am nominee in the category for "Best first trip report" ☺️

Thanks all

Fantastic report and very nice realizing travelling Madagascar is not as hard as I thought it was.
