Just wondering, does anyone know if there are any legal requirements relating to the size of pygmy hippo enclosures in the UK or know of any guidelines/recommendations?

Also does anyone knows of any plant types that have proved to be tough and would be suitable for a pygmy hippo enclosure?

Any help would be greatly appreciated!

Try the Waza website, on the virtual zoo page there's info about this for most animal species.

I think the best kind of enclosure for pygmy hippos are grassy paddocks. Marwell and Edinburgh have taken this design approach and have high birth rates, unlike the common woodchips used at places like Bristol and London.
