Queen Elizabeth Park aviary history

I was in Masterton on the weekend and went to look at the aviary. It isn't exactly "decrepit" as some would have it, but it isn't great. The only occupants were a flock of domestic doves, about five Indian Ringnecks (green, yellow, and white), and two Blue Peacocks, as well as a swirling vortex of House Sparrows which had gained entry but apparently been unable to find the exit again.

There is also a "deer park" there which has two enclosures for Red Deer and Fallow Deer.
