The tuna are housed in a donut-shaped tank with viewing from the inside of the "donut", but when I visited, the "donut" was divided in two with some very impromptu-looking plastic grates, with the Bluefin (and the most terrified Double Lined Fuselier I've ever seen) on one side and an assortment of other pelagic fish (Kawakawa, Striped Bonito, Houndfish, Bowmouth Guitarfish and a juvenile Tiger Shark if I recall correctly). I figured that at one point the Bluefin Tuna were allowed to swim around the entire tank, but was partitioned for some reason (possibly due to the tuna being able to build up speed and hurting themselves by colliding with the glass/each other). Is this the case or was it something else? Or has the tank always been partitioned like that? I found just one picture online of the Bluefin on the other side of the tank (you can tell by the artificial rock in the middle which is only on one side of the tank) on Flickr, supposedly taken in 2016.
