Questions regarding Lemur Species Interbreeding

Hello!

My interest has been sparked by the discovery that a number of facilities keep both the red ruffed as well as the black-and-white ruffed lemurs together, as well as a wide variety of the members of the genus Eulemur, such as the Mongoose Lemur, Red-fronted, Blue-eyed black, etc.

I am aware of the existence of ruffed hybrids and my understanding is in the modern era zoos frequently shun exhibiting breeding groups of closely related species for fear of interbreeding.

In the cases of these zoos mixing their animals, are they keeping same sex (i.e all male or all female) groupings and separating for mating purposes or is there some other system in place to prevent interbreeding. If it is the former, is it relevant which sex is kept together? Are males or females of, say, the Eulemur genus more or less aggressive than the other?
