I'm kind of surprised this hasn't been mentioned by anyone. Stephen Hawkings died on the 14th of March, aged 76.

So sad that he's gone. He was the reason why we believed in many things about space.
Mr. Hawking was a brilliant man. He defied the odds for many years and was a true inspiration to many people. May he rest in peace.
