Radar project may make last 350 Narcondam Hornbills extinct

This apart from being food for thought for the Environmental sector in India, BNHS and WTI, should be taken up with Birdlife. It is already beyond comprehension why a police post has been installed on the island claiming some 40 hectares and the plan proposes installation onto a hillock right inside the middle of the rainforest. That in itself puts it out of order. What surprises me further is that building work for the police station could have gone through with NO environmental impact assessment whatsoever. Indian conservationists are rightly worried and should make a stand. To here and no further ...:mad:
