On the Dutch island Vlieland a rare Starry smooth hound has been stranded. The female is about 1 meter long and was alive. The animal is brought to a Nature centre and as soon as the animal is healthy enough, it will be released. This was the first time a Starry smooth hound has been stranded alive in the Netherlands.
