As things ease off with quarantine zoos and aquariums are looking to reopen while keeping staff, guests and animals safe. The CAZA is developing plans and practices it expects zoos and aquariums to follow once they reopen. The following article gives a glimpse of what may come.

The first zoo to announce its reopening is Assiniboine. Precautions being taken include...

Online ticket purchases
closed gift shops, playgrounds and rentals (except wheelchair and scooters)
Reduced admissions
More cleaning and sanitizing station
Some areas will stay closed; Prairie Outpost, Kinsmen Discovery Centre and barn, Leatherdale International Polar Bear Conservation Centre (LIPBCC) Cub Care Centre, McFeetors Heavy horse barn (outdoor area remains open), Toucan Ridge (indoor habitats), Aurora Borealis theatre, LIPBCC interpretive centre, Heavy horse wagon rides, stingray touch and feeding experiences, water bottle refill stations, member services and the Zoo tram
All restaurants will be take out

Interestingly guests are not being forced to wear face masks just encouraged.
