The wife of the owner was bitten by a Taxas rattlesnake but luckily she could be saved.
Already 2011 another accident happened at this Herp-zoo but in that case the person bitten by a Neotropical rattlesnake died.

She's actually his girlfriend/partner, not his wife...

As for the previous accident, it is still hard to fathom why/how the accident took place, given the experience of the victim in handling venomous snakes.

Reptilienzoo Nockalm and his owner are widely known and respected within the "hot snake" community for his expertise, the varied collection of species held and continuous breeding successes.
