Id like to recommend the following book:
Rewilding The World by Caroline Fraser (Picador, 2009)
Its a great book about creating wildlife corridors to accomodate for umbrella species including large carnivores, elephants etc. It discusses projects in border areas where multiple countries create national parks together and includes sections on Chitwan NP (Nepal), the border of South Africa, Mozambique and Zimbabwe, the old Iron Curtain down the middle of Europe, large parks joined together in North America and the "path of the panther" (jaguar) in Central America.
Id highly recommend this book to anyone interested in wildlife!
Anyone else out there read it? What did you think?
