Durrell Wildlife Conservation Trust Ring-tailed Lemur born

This is the first infant for the four year old mother Muriel, one of Durrell’s two female ring-tailed lemurs. Born on Sunday 21st March, it is also the first ring-tailed lemur to be born at Durrell for 17 years.

The babies mother was one of two females who were transfered from Chester last year. An Ebay auction has today been launched with the winner getting to name the twins and meet the keeper.

I am really liking the new ebay craze through UK zoos and I am hoping many more zoos follow Whipsnade and Durrels example! I may even sneak a bid in!
