Both species are probably inexistent in French zoos now, and even in the past.
Here is the one I saw on our porch at Madera Canyon (southern Arizona):

Great photos! I'd love to see one in the wild. My friend found a dead ringtail on the side of the road and had it stuffed, it's really cool.

Considering the middle photo I posted above says "here is one at San Antonio Zoo" then yes, I belive they do!
Looks like I can consider myself lucky to have seen this species; the NC Zoo use to have Ringtails in their Desert Nocturnal Gallery. They last had them in 2015 before their exhibit was converted for Sand Cats (along with the larger enclosure next to it, which at one point held Coatis).
