Just come across this article with the fantastic news that the BBC Children's program Roar will be filming two series at Longleat from next year! :D The show has filmed at Howlett's and Port Lyme since 2005. It isn't Animal Park but it's the next best thing! I hope they can successfully pull it off!

Fab news! I do enjoy Roar at Howletts and PL, but it will be nice to see Longleat on TV again.

I - for one - am rather sad that the BBC has pulled the plug on Aspinall's ROAR! I really do appreciate the series was thought-provoking and a nice move away from what had become rather predictable at Longleat. To bring back Animal Park under another banner after a 10-year series ...., seems - with all due respect - like flogging a dead-horse.

If I were to be cynical I would probably term this a tunnelvision BBC ploy.
(but then I have never cared much for the rather bland safari park styling with a bio-monopolist fauna (as opposed to diverse wildlife) on site.

Well got that out of the way now!
(how is that for a statement). ;)
