Situated in a large tin shed on the foreshore at Rockport,Texas, this is a tiny community run facility. It is run totally by volunteers, has free admission and is normally open Thursday to Monday between 1pm and 4pm. It only shows fish from surrounding waters and all but 4 of the 20 odd tanks would be regarded as home aquarium size. My favourite exhibit was a very active moray eel, but about 50 species are exhibited. There was a lot of interpretative material as well as activities for children. A very small gift shop rounds the experience out. Obviously it is not a facility many would travel out of their way to visit (except @snowleopard) however worth stopping by if in the area. I was there to see whooping cranes in the wild, and the area is outstanding for birding.
