Rare Species Conservation Centre RSCC, The rare species conservation centre & zoological garden, Sandwich, Kent

According to the official site their aardwolf exhibit is now open. Where would this be on the already crowded site?

I heard it was between the gibbons and the boardwalk, opposite the new guinea singing dogs. This, however, is quite a small area of land.

The web-site talks about aardwolves in the plural ?

Also nothing mentioned of giant squirrels which I thought had been imported , nothing on ISIS either .

The 3 young white-cheeked gibbons seem to have gone - are these the trio now at Paradise Park , Herts. ?

The two male white-cheeked gibbons that were 'holidaying' at the IOW zoo were destined for Paradise Park zoo. It may be that one of the RSCC animals went to join them in herts. If there is no longer a rotation system in place for two gibbon species at RSCC I think that is a massive improvement. The enclosure is a good height will a lot of potential.

i have visited this place and find it a bit sickening that in this day and age a zoo can open up with such small inadequate enclosures and don't get me wrong i'm not against small zoos but how about doing one thing at a time well rather than lots badly. lots of cool species but seem to be no experienced staff to care for a lot of specialist animals!!
