The controversies of the Los Angeles Zoo have always been a part of this city's past with its zoos. A look back to a time of struggles and huge dreams for a better future, taken from various sources on the web. These old photographs; including the crowd making their way up the entrance steps, the bear grottoes, and the decrepit cages, are pretty much memories of the old Griffith Park Zoo I once knew as a young child, growing up in Los Angeles in the early 1960s.
