Safe Lactose Intolerant Fast Food Restaurants?

As those of us who suffer from it, lactose intolerance is no fun and you have to look at every label to make sure there are no milk/dairy ingredients in the foods you plan to consume. For example, so many foods in the frozen food section such as chicken patties, fish, etc have milk ingredients in the breading and it's just a pain to see how limited your options are! I became lactose intolerant last fall and it's been quite the adjustment.

I am going on a vacation in early August and wanted to know which fast food places are safe bets for those with this problem. I know I'm good at Chik-Fil-A because I can have their grilled chicken sandwich and waffle fries instead of their regular chicken sandwich. Does anyone else have any recommendations or experiences that can help me or others with this issue when on the road traveling or otherwise? Thanks for your help!

I don’t know where you plan to go but if you happen to be in California, you can’t go wrong with In N Out. The option I’d do would be a protein style animal style hamburger with French fries and a soft drink/lemonade. The bun is really a lettuce leaf, animal style is grilled mustard with chopped onions and pickles :) That’s one fast food item I can think of but my ultimate recommendation is to get some Lactaid tablets for when out on travel to avoid the bloating just in case you by mistake or unbeknownst to yourself eat some dairy :D
