I do too! Its funny you mention Komodo dragons because they used to occupy the one on the left side, but they are long gone. They have not been at the zoo since the early 2010s. Yeah, it seems they are at the two options of preserving the three exhibit style and sticking with smaller residents or clearing the style and converting into one large enclosure for a keystone attraction.

Doesn't the Dallas World Aquarium have horned guans? I know your post is from last year, but I thought I could still ask.
