Saint Louis Zoo Saint Louis Zoo News 2015

In other non-gun related news, a female Serval named Roxie from the LA Zoo is on exhibit in Big Cat Country.
7 Transcaspian Urial lambs were born last month.
And 2 male Babirusas named Sherlock and Watson, as well as 2 male Sichuan Takin named Waino and Yadi are now on exhibit in the former bear grottoes.

Just a quick question; is there any more planned breedings for Ellie and Rani with Raja the Asian Elephants? thank you just curiuos.

If nobody else beats me to it, I should be visiting Saint Louis within the month to get pictures of the new polar bear enclosure. I will also be composing a list of all the species currently on display, as it has occurred to me that their list online is woefully inaccurate! Let me know if anyone wants me to check for anything specific or have requests for pictures of a certain animal/area.

Nice!! Good for Saint Louis! At this rate the only major zoos in the U.S. without Devils will be Columbus, Bronx and Omaha Henry Doorly.

Currently only ABQ and San Diego keep them. Even with St. Louis adding them there will still be more than three major zoos without them.

Tasmanian Devils will also be arriving in Los Angeles before the year is up. Their two exhibit spaces are basically ready and awaiting their arrival.

Another article about the possibility of taking over Grants Farm:
St. Louis Zoo proposes buying Grant's Farm; Billy Busch makes competing offer : News

My girlfriend hails from St. Louis, so this has been a topic of conversation around the house of late. She's conflicted, but I see no reason why it can't/shouldn't remain in the Busch family as is. With $30-million in InBev money the zoo could certainly purchase a plot of land somewhere in the metro area or even Southern Illinois. It'd be akin to the National Zoo and their Royal Front location.
