Quick question. I thought the auqarium's sea turtle was a Green Sea Turtle, not a Loggerhead?
Instead of making a new thread, I thought I'd ask here what our local zoos/aquariums (particularly the New York Aquarium) are doing (or did since she is now here) in preparation for Snow Storm Athena (as they've named it)? I don't know how bad it is elsewhere, but here school was called for early dismissal during third period and the following clases ended up being 10-16 minutes long and outside of my house is completely blanketed in snow.
Mystic Aquarium closed early today due to the storm.

Looks like they plan to partially re-open in May. I'm guessing they usually close during the winter anyway? New York Aquarium will only be partially open when it opens to the public in May • Brooklyn Daily
I think they're normally open during the winter as well. But thank you for the update!
